Exam Dates – Registrations – Fees

ΤΙΕ offers:

  • General Examinations (paper-based) every month
  • General Examinations (TIE online) every 15 days
  • On Demand (paper-based) examinations for partner schools

*General Examinations (paper-based): If the minimum required number of candidates is not reached in a General Examination, the examination will be held at the nearest city/date where the minimum required number of candidates is reached.

*General Examinations (online): In case the maximum number of candidates is reached in an Online Examination, that particular examination will be “locked” ( regardless of the deadline for registrations) and no further candidate registrations will be accepted.

Candidate & Examiner Safety: All TIE examinations are conducted in accordance with the security measures provided for, with the primary concern being the safety of candidates, examiners and all those involved in the examination process.

Candidate Registrations can be made:

  • Via Gnosis Portal for candidates of schools & teachers
  • By completing the online application form that you will find next to the exam dates for independent candidates.

Exam Information

  • Exam fees and registrations must be submitted by the deadline (depending on the desired date of the examination).
  • The examination schedule and all relevant information (examination time, arrival time, venue, etc.) will be sent to your e-mail (or to your school/teacher) 7 – 10 days before the exam date.
  • Candidates with additional needs, in addition to their registration, should send an official medical report to international@tieexams.com, documenting the reason why they are requesting special consideration..

For all levels

  • Appeal Request: 40€ for each part of the exam that the candidate wishes to appeal
  • Certificate re-print: 30€
  • Prices include the dispatch of the certificate.

Cancellation & Refund policy

Exam fees are not refundable in the case of:
– a candidate’s absence from an examination
– cancellation of a candidate’s participation in an examination after the registrations’ deadline
– a candidate’s failure to participate in an examination for reasons of their responsibility.
 
Free participation: Candidates who were absentees from an examination are allowed to participate in the next examination to be held in their region free of charge in the following cases:
– If the candidate submits a medical certificate from a public hospital stating that the candidate was a patient on the day of the examination in which he/she registered,
– If the candidate is a resident of an island region and submits a certificate from a maritime authority, the police or a ferry company stating that on the day of the examination there were no services from his/her place of residence to the place where the examination was held.

Arrival time at the examination venue:

  • 30 minutes before the scheduled time of your examination (Written or Spoken).

What to bring with you:

  1. Identity card or passport. You will be required to carry it for identity verification in both parts of the examination (Written and Spoken). For minors, birth certificates (with photograph) are also accepted.
  2. A photocopy of your identity card/passport. You will be required to provide it for identity check in both parts of the examination (Written and Spoken).
  3. TIE Declaration (download it by clicking here). Candidates must have it filled in and brought with them.
  4. Your Logbook.
  5. A pen (black or blue).

What is allowed to bring with you:

  • Monolingual English-English dictionary
  • Bottle of water

What is not allowed to bring with you:

  • Electronic devices (e.g. mobile phone, tablet, PC, laptop, smart watch etc.)
  • Notes, reports, summaries, books, etc.
